June 2017: LUND BOATS
Notice about Lund Boat decals. There is a MAJOR delay in getting manufacturer replacement decals on Lund Boats, even BRAND NEW 2016-2017 Lund Boats. We will repair your Lund Boat, but either require that you obtain decals from the dealer before bringing your boat in for repair, or bring the boat back at a later date to have your pre-paid decal(s) installed (if your boat repair is completed before decals are received).

We recommend that you open and check any decal orders from Lund to verify that the order is both correct and complete.

We had a 2017 Lund that was in a bay in our shop for over 6 weeks. For the insurance claim repair, we advance ordered the decals on 4/22 only to receive the WRONG decals on 4/27. We waited for over a month to receive custom printed DECALS, which weren't in stock with Lund on a NEW boat. This boat tied up a shop stall and also tied up the client's boat for over a month, and it's simply unacceptable. Our summer season is short enough in Chicago—we like to our customers' boats back out on the water ASAP.

Decals can be an issue with some manufacturers, but this is by far the most horrendous decal experience to date. This warrants a NOTICE to all Lund boat owners.
