1958 Cadillac Restoration

In the before
pictures you will see the rusted, poor body condition of the '58 Cadillac,
which was repaired and restored to original condition. The original
black color was updated to a dark metallic gray and the upholstery also
needed to be replaced. We replaced the original upholstery with a
fabric pattern complimentary to the new paint with piping around the seats
that matched the paint exactly. The client also wanted to completely
overhaul the stereo system in the classic car, which we accomplished
without altering any of the original attributes. |
Our Client wanted the best of the best, so we installed a Clarion DRZ9255,
included a Sirius satellite radio module, iPod adapter, Focal K2 speakers, Focal KX
subwoofers, 2 Audison LRx Amplifiers, an Alumapro 15 Farad Capacitor, Optima
Red Top, 0 and 4 gauge power wire and terminals, voltage indicating fuse
blocks, custom subwoofer enclosure tuned specifically for the '58 Cadillac
and Focal subs, custom amp rack, and we included the Focal logo design in
the new trunk carpeting. The most unbelievably crisp, clear sound
system we've designed to date. It all starts with the high-end stereo
receiver (head unit) and goes back to the lowest distortion rated amplifiers
which sends out a clear signal to the high-end speaker line. Truly
high definition sound with any audio/video source.
Since
1902, the Cadillac line of cars has been synonymous with quality, luxury,
and elegance. But while Cadillacs were once immediately distinguishable,
the new line conforms more to modern standard design and style. The
company established itself in the 1930s as the luxury car of America and
retained that position for more than forty years. In the 1970s, however,
Cadillac began losing market position to other luxury vehicles from
Europe. Only recently, with the success of SUV and larger vehicles, has
Cadillac begun to regain that leadership in the luxury and large vehicle
market.
A History of Innovation
Cadillac has a history of innovation and technological advances beginning
with the first fully-enclosed car body in 1905. Cadillac also built the
first limousine, the first mass-produced V8 engine, the first sun-roofs, and
was the first manufacturer to offer power steering as a standard feature.
The company was also a leader in offering service and owner protection. In
1988, Cadillac was the first luxury car manufacturer to offer 24-hour
road-side service and continues to draw a loyal and passionate clientele.
Many Cadillac owner clubs exist and a Cadillac culture has built up around
the line.
